70% of millennials would consider purchasing lab-grown jewelry. More people are being open to new and innovative products, such as lab-grown diamonds
Let’s start from the beginning to learn about this fascinating kind of diamond. The first version of a lab grown diamond was created in 1950, then gem-quality diamonds were produced in a lab in 1971.
Contrary to common belief, lab grown diamonds are identical to mined diamonds to the naked eye. Even though lab grown diamonds aren’t as vibrant or reflective as mined diamonds, both kinds of diamonds are chemically, physically, and visually identical. Like mined diamonds, lab-made diamonds are 100% crystallized carbon.
Even though lab-grown diamonds are similar to mined diamonds, lab grown diamonds have a more positive effect on the environment because they reduce the impact of diamond mining. Not only that, but lab-grown diamonds tend to be more affordable than mined diamonds because they are 25-30% less costly than their mined counterparts.
Despite being basically the same as mined diamonds, some people prefer “the real thing.” Learning more about lab-grown diamonds allows us to dispel the myths and misconceptions surrounding lab grown diamonds.
Lab grown diamonds are revolutionary and the diamonds of the future.
